Smart-Scart or Smart-Scart Plus?

I'm looking to get DH an automatic switcher for Christmas, to save on the contortions every time he wants to switch inputs.

Any opinions on whether the Plus is worth the extra money? Any other recommendations?

Disclaimer: I don't really have a clue what I'm talking about here, but I know he'd like one.

Thanks CAUP - am going for the Plus. He does love his gadgets so I may as well get him the most up-to-date.

At least I will be if I can find one anywhere.....

They don't manufacture the Plus anymore, so I guess that's the answer to my question.
