I wouls like GPS, do I need a stand alone handheld unit or can I get a blue toooth thing that works with my mobile, or is it only certain phones that works with ?

I think some mobiles have GPS as an integral thing - not sure if you can buy something to work with your mobile.

You can get standalone systems for around £60 these days.

I def don't have GPS on my phone, but wondered if the Bluetooth things work with any phone or do they have to have some kind of software already on the phone.

There are many different types of message that can be sent over Bluetooth, and if your 'phone doesn't have the right Bluetooth Stack as they are called, it won't work.

You should be able to find out what 'phones any particular bluetooth module you are looking at will work with - for instance here is the list for a Nokia bluetooth module.
