Song downloading virgin about to give it a go - any tips?

Help! please someone tell me where is a site I can go to download individual songs, rather than to subscribe? I want old rock songs (Awopbopalooba- vintage), none of this modern day warbling malarky.

There are russian sites like gomusic which will sell you single songs or whole albums for download with no fuss and very cheap.

You have to sign up and put some money in your account first. $20 dollars I think (about £10), but then your purchases come out of that so you don't have to keep doing the credit card thing for each one. It lasts you quite a while as they are just a few cents each.
