I have had a letter from Domain Renewal Group - at first I thought it was a bill. Told me my domain expires on March 11 but I need to reply (with money) byt 24th November.

I think they are just trying it on to get me to transfer my name to whatever company they are.

I am with 123

Please tell me I am right, and that 123 will contact me about renewals etc?

You're right it's a scam. Ignore it. it happens all the time.

Btw if you want to check when it is due next just click here and put the domain name in and copy the code word from above it.

You can probably do it from within your 123 account too

I wouldn't call it a scam - they are just cold-calling touting for business.

Feel free to ignore it unless you like what they are offering.

I'd say it was a scam - they write it in such a way that with first read it looks like you are just being sent a renewal notice.

It was only with closer reading that I realised it was a transfer. Had I had it on a Weds when I was in business mode, I would have probably just filled it in

I'm with 123 too and my domain is up for renewal in December.

I got a letter from some other ocmpany which looked a lot like a bill about two weeks ago. On closer reading it said I didn't have to pay, only if I wanted to move to them.

I've had a renewal email from 123 this morning.

I'd call it sneaky.
