My email is on my FACEBOOK profile and others can see it.How can I get it off?

I don't want to disallow my profile to everyone but when I go to settings,it doesn't allow me to take my email address off.

anyone know?

Have you tried going to profile edit? The word edit is in smaller type but right next to the word Profile - hope that works.

Go to privacy, the contact information, then change the drop down box by your email address to "no-one"

privacy-profile-contact information-change 'who can see your email address' to 'no one'

On new FB layout it is profile, info, click on the lock icon on the right hand side then select 'no one' from drop down box in new window.
