Does anyone know of one that delivers even less data than this:
www.census.gov/population/www/popclocksus.html

Is there an engineering site somewhere for testing, or something like that? Have looked, but can't find anything.

Why would you want such a thing?
Surely any site that sets a cookie could be said to do this?

I dont think so actually. A cookie is just checked when you go onto the website, or interact, isnt it?

I want a very small but steady trickle of data flowing over the connection. Why? testing an internet setup of course!

I can't think of any site that would do that unless as you say there's one set up for testing. I think you'd have better luck running something that downloaded a page or graphic over and over. Assuming that satisfied the test you want to do.

Just for example Webmon is a little program for checking when a webpage has changed. It can be set to examine just one line of a webpage at any interval you want. That might do to keep data flowing.

thank you onager - that looks useful.
