Bloody Hotmail trying to insist I use Explorer

I don't want to.

Everytime I log in ( I use Mozilla or Safari) it insists I update my I.E browser. I can't click back, or refuse.

I use hotmail for loads of things , freecycle, msn, newsletters, product testing that I don't want to use my 'proper email address for.

But right now it is driving me insane.

Should I get a google address, are they just as bad? Can I import from hotmail to google?

Rant rant question question sorry.

Can you not just use windows live mail?
I have four different email addresses all coming through to mine.

I use Hotmail fine from Firefox (although, come to think of it, I may have a current version of IE on this machine).

Googlemail is good. it's free so try it and then transfer everything if you're happy.

VS I refuse to use windows whenever avoidable, hate microsoft.

I'm just too untechy to have closed down my 11 year old hotmail and account and sorted out a new one.

What about thunderbird?
Doesn't that allow you to add how ever many email addresses?
