I'm trying to set up a website for my Childminding business but I don't know how to design my own pictures and logo.
So far I've been filching pictures off google images
Do I need a special program on the computer?

careful about copyrights on the images you've filched

if you have windows the you have a very basic drawing program installed called Paint - its found under Start>Programs>Accessories>Paint (or equivalent

If you want totally safe to use pics then you can search for 'royalty free' ones, or PC world do DVD's of thousands of images that you can do what you like with

Corbis is good if you want EXACTLY the image you had in mind - type in Orange T-shirt man doing hand stand (or something equally weird) and they will have something that will do

If you want to do something really basic but recognisable as a brand logo try something like 3 circles/squares in a line in bold colours and put it in the top right of each page - its bold and simple and does the trick. Think 20p sized blobs.

Yuo can then print this out in your letter heads too.

I'm a web developer - so I use things that are a bit more snazzy - if you get the bug Fireworks is a nice product.

I wouldn't mind knocking up something logoish in an hour if you know roughly what you want?

Thank you for your response. I was wondering if there might be a copyright problem with the pics I've found. I'd like to have a go at designing something.
We've got a Mac laptop with Microsoft Word.
This is the first time I've ever tried to do a website so I've no idea what I'm doing. I'm using www.weebly.com
