FiL has just changed his isp to goodness knows who (consumers dream believes in the 'well save you money' hype)
He didn't realise his email address was part of his old contract though, is he going to lose it? Can he keep it some way?
His old isp was orange btw with an fsnet.co.uk address.

Generally not - if his email address was in anyway subscription based ( i.e. not yahoo, hotmail etc) he will lose it as part of cancelling the contract.

I think the name fsnet "belongs" to Orange, so he'll lose it I'm afraid.
