Help me find a good scanner, please

Basically the title, does anyone have recommendations for a good scanner that would handle old photos well? I'm going through old papers and would like to digitize some of them, not sure if paying for that or buying a scanner myself would be a better option, getting a scanner seems reasonable as it would be used further by everyone else in the family, so a purchase that keeps on giving. Either way, any recommendations would be great! Thanks in advance.

If it's just prints, a fairly basic model should suffice.

I would consider a

Canon LiDE 300 Colour Flatbed Scanner £54

Assuming not a huge quantity and A4 is the largest size.

I think pretty much any scanner for a reasonable price would be fine depending on how much you're willing to spend. Here is a list of best scanners for old photos specifically but it really depends on a budget and whether you're going to use it for other types of documents.

Thank you both!
