All I always get now is a Windox box which pops up and says 'Application not found'. Any ideas, anyone? TIA

Are you using internet based email or an application like Outlook?

You may need to change the file associations.

Ed, how do I change the file's properties if I can't get it up? Can't even copy the addy to my browser? Will I have to do this for every link in every email that has one?

Someone recently set me up for Safari. I didn't like it and changed my default page back to Internet Explorer, with Google as home page. Could that have anything to do with it?

Hmm, sounds like the change from Safari might have messed something up. Did you uninstall Safari?

There are other ways in to changing the file associations.

I'm assuming it's the HTML file association that's wrong. Try resetting it to IE.

ED, yes, I uninstalled it. Will have a go at resetting once I've given dds supper. Thank you!

OK, what's probably happened is that Windows expects to use Safari to open web pages, but Safari is no longer there. Resetting it to IE (or Firefox or Opera, if you prefer) should fix it.

Personally I'd fix it by installing Firefox, but that's just my preference.

Yay!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you EvelynsDad. Installed Firefox and it's all working as it was!!!!
