DNS privacy warning on WiFi

Hi
last night I noticed a privacy warning on my WiFi on my Apple phone , from what I can gather it potentially means someone else can see which websites I visit.

I changed the password for my wifi and the warning went away

Now I’ve just come out of a relationship with someone who is very techy , please don’t laugh at me as I have no idea how these things work but could this have been him tracking me?

I ask as a while ago he mentioned being able to hack into his neighbours wifi , whether that’s bullshit or not I don’t know .

Recommend changing the password on your router not just the wifi password.

I work in IT and DNS specifically. DNS is the phonebook of the internet so if he has changed the DNS settings on your router, he could have redirected it to a server he is hosting and can essentially see every website you are visiting. Changing your WiFi or even router password is not enough. You need to do a factory reset of the router. Google your "ISP name and router factory reset" on how to do it. Once done you should then change the WiFi password AND router password. Sorry if this sounds complicated but really is a 5 minute job when you've got the instructions from your ISP. Hope this helps
