As there's quite a lot of passworded files I need to open on this computer, but I know that I'll never get the passwords off H.....

It's not invasion of privacy or anything like.

We had to beware that we didn't get accused of visiting the sites from employee workstation whilst checking where employee had been. So he couldn't claim that the cookies/evidence were us looking to see where he'd been iyswim.

We were looking at a possible tribunal, so it was different.

seriously tempted to fork out to get an expert to recover everything on that hard drive though.....

just to see how much of a bastard he really is

Ugh, he's an arse.
You can get programmes that will get back everything deleted too if you look into it I'm sure you'll be able find something, but do you need to?
It might just hurt you harder?

FAQ · 01/06/2008 23:30

No I want to - I just want to know what he's been up to. I'm on of these people that needs to know so I can get stuff sorted in my head. I know a tiny bit now and it's fucking with my head as I'm pretty sure it's only a tiny fraction of the picture........

it's like having a jigsaw in my head and if there's pieces missing it just goes over and over the various different part of the puzzle that could be missing. (if that makes sense - I@m crap at explaining it) - basically I'm one of those people that need to know (as much as possible) to be able to get my thoughts into any sort of order.

Right now they're all over the place - don't think I'll be able to sleep at all tonight.......

I understand, FAQ, totally.

I get "rewind, play...one scenario...rewind, play...different scenario" - not comfy.

FAQ · 01/06/2008 23:40

that's it HM, just keep playing over the scenarios, trying to work out which one fits and in the mean time the rest of the bits are trying to play, one scenario, rewind play etc.

I have no doubt if I do the hard drive recovery thing done there will be stuff that upsets me - but after today I'm not sure it could get any worse.......

Don't over convolute stuff though - one thing I've learnt from doing the mad cinema-replay thing is that the scenarios you dream up are usually far more complex and devious than reality.

FAQ · 02/06/2008 08:30

I know HM, just with what I found yesterday, I can't help but wonder what else (and how long) it's been going on for.

Not to mention it starting to make sense about certain things that happened in our marriage (eg wanting me to get an abortion).

I did manage to sleep - but only has I had half a bottle of brandy

OP posts:
hunkermunker · 02/06/2008 17:38

I do understand the need to know all that's gone on.

But also remember that you're out of it now - well out of it - and much better off for it.

Imagine if you were still with him. Doesn't bear thinking about, I bet.

Tip the rest of the brandy down the sink, please, sweet xx xx

Horrendous man.

I am so glad she's shot of him. Have posted on other thread - thanks, Lapin, for the link.
