ipad fell in bath - HELP !!

I dropped my ipad in the bath and got it out quickly and dried it off. I got a hair dryer and on a low/cold heat I have all the ports a dry.

Everything is working except the sound only works when I use headphones. It’s like the ipad is stuck in headphone mode. I’ve used a cotton bud to clean out the port and I’ve now turned the ipad off and have it sitting upright to try and let any remaining water drain.

is it toast ?

Stick it in rice, might need a few bags to completely cover it, minimum 24 hours

I don’t even think I’ve got any rice 🙈🫣 that’s what I did with my phone

I left it upright this all night and it’s working this morning !!! I think the battery life had gone as it’s draining quicker but it’s working

Stop using it before it’s completely dry!!! Water and electricity do not mix. You are supposed to leave it turned off.

Go buy some rice. Stick it in the rice and leave it alone for a couple of days.
