Has anyone recently transferred their TalkTalk email account to Gmail? I'm trying to do it for my mum and struggling as I only have access to her TalkTalk as webmail and can't change her TalkTalk to be Pop instead of IMAP. I just need to get the right settings under 'Import mail and contacts' in Gmail. Various talk forums etc seem to be saying the TalkTalk account needs to be changed from Imap to Pop.
I feel I've now Googled too much and got confused so if anyone has some very clear steps and what the settings need to be I'd be very grateful. I'm doing it all remotely - either trying with her log ins on my computer, or if I have to, I'll take her through what she has to enter on a video call, but I'm not hopeful that will work!
