I can't get online via Firefox or IE but can get on via AOL, does that mean Virgin Media is down or what?

Any ideas why that might be? I hate AOL and need to work today.

Ah yes but are yo in the SM5 area as they do go down in isolated areas ime. I could ring them I suppose.....

Ok so after 15 minutes being talked through stuff by the Virgin techy bloke(costing 25p a minute) it turns out it is bloody over enthusiastic Norton Firewall[grrr]
