Any recommendations for windows based software that can be used to put together a movie from a much of pictures, voice clips and some text

Suitable for a 14 yr old reasonably tech savvy; but hasn't used any movie making/ editing software

Thank you

Could they try iMovie? My DS used it recently to make a show reel for Uni applications, and it seemed pretty good?

I use DaVinci Resolve since its one of the few free options for windows.

It's a bit complicated to get started with but there are a ton of tutorials to help you figure it all out. I spent about 3 hours going through them before putting together my first video with it.

However if it's just pictures/text and a few voice clips then a PowerPoint presentation might be enough rather than learning new software from scratch. There is also Google slides as a free alternative to PowerPoint.

@EmmaStoneiMovie is quite good but for Mac only, and the OP said windows.

iMovie is good

Just realised I did the same as PP and recommended something not for windows, sorry Blush

Shortcut is free for windows and can do lots of stuff

I meant Shotcut, not shortcut.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

She has been using clipchamp or something similar that comes free with the windows OS. But will ask her to try shotcut and da vinci resolve.

Shotcut is really good, I often use it and don't find it too complicated. Needless to say, I also typed shortcut first, just noticed on time😁
