alternatives to X

I run the Social Media for a family history society. We are considering leaving X for ethical reasons (we are also on facebook) and moving to Bluesky. But, looking at Bluesky, I can't see much difference between it and FB.
Is Bluesky a realistic alternative to X, or should I be looking at something else?

Bluesky is a pretty good replacement for Twitter. It took a while to really get going but Trump's election was the real push for people to move over.

I don't see it as like Facebook at all.
