The start up bar thng that goes along the bottom of the screen has decided it wants to be up the side now...I don't like...tell me how to change it back.

you have to kind of grab it by clicking on it and pull it back down - sorry i can't remember where or if it's left or right click

Right click on the taskbar and make sure 'lock the taskbar' isn't ticked (since it has moved I guess it isnt.

Place the cursor over it and hold down the left mouse button and move it to you want it.

Then right click and tick the 'lock the taskbar' option, to stop it moving again.

Thats not working.
I've unlocked the taskbar, I think I must have locked it trying to sort it out before but it doesn't move when I click it again.....

I just did it with mine and it works.

Press left mouse button, drag down, release. (Rather than clicking on it)

You should be able to just drag and drop it at the bottom.

Aha, its done it now...but now I have a really fat bar at the bottom.

I've got the same problem - DS somehow moved the whole panel vertically to the L of the screen instead of along the bottom.

I have been L clicking, and L click-and-dragging but I can't move it. Where should the little arrow be when I click-and-drag?

tried squashing it...its resisting all attempts.

To squash it down, get the cursor right on the edge of the blue panelso that it turns into a little two-ended arrow, Then you can clicj-k-and-drag to squash it.

I made it move from up the side to along the bottom by clicking on the lighter blue bit rather than the darker blue bit.

Now my blue panel is still fatter thn it was, and everything looks different - all my little icons are in a chequerboard, rather than in a line next to each other.

Oh - to make it less fat - have you unlocked it again? You locked it, didn't you?

no...forgot to unlock it again but anyway its still bloody fat.
