In the period between 2005-2010 ish I bought lots of music and ripped it from the CDs so I have digital music but not in the modern day streaming or having bought only digitally sense. I'm now at a loss of how to play this. Basically, as far as I can see, the only way to play my music is to log into iTunes on my mac. My mac is old and I don't use it anymore. I've taken all the music files and put them into an external hard drive for storage. Is there anyway I can actually play these on a modern device such as iPad etc? Guessing not. So I presume these are mp3 files maybe? If so they are easy to play back on any computer or device? Or are they some weird apple proprietary file format that nothing else can read?
