anyone know how to make a dongle work?

posted this on another thread as well, but am getting impatient with it, so thought I'd start a "dongle" thread...

My dongle arrived this morning.

Have installed the cd thing on the computer. All seems to have gone well. Have plugged the dongle thing itself into the side of the computer.

Have searched on my phone for new bluetooth device and it can't see it.

What have I done wrong?

Have you checked in My Computer that the computer can see it?

when I plug it in, it says "new bluetooth device detected" so I think the computer knows it's there.

Except I've now lost it

try restarting, I had to restart before my wireless dongle would work properly.

if ever find the fecking thing, I'll restart the puter.

I have a fully working dongle

ten and chops - thanks loads, twas restarting the puter that fixed it

okaaaaay, another teensy question:

how do I find the pics in the computer?

I know that they bluetoothed to each other, but I don't know where to look for the pics. They're not in "MY PICTURES"

not quite sure, they aren't on the dongle are they? Does it appear as a drive in my computer?

Or check my received files?

If that fails, do a search for one of the file names.

found them!

Eventually....

They are in my documents/bluetooth/file/share

obvious really.

(didn't realise though that when I deleted all my pics from my phone that they would ALL go, so the pic of ds that was my wallpaper has gone, and the pic of dp that shows when he rings has gone... oh well )
