Have taken lots of photos on my phone. How do I get them onto my computer?

I have about 150 photos on my phone. I know how to send them to another phone but I want to transfer them to my computer. I have absolutely no idea how to do this and the phone's instructions didn't seem to cover it.

Can anyone help me?

anyone??

As I understand it you have to turn the phone itself to a special mode to link it to the PC. I don't know off hand what it's called, but you're telling the phone to search for a device to link to.
You do this while the PC software is also looking for a device and they find each other.
I think it's usual for them to exchange codes then so other people can't simply link to your phone when you're out. Once they are linked then you should be ready to pass files back and forth.

If anyone knows what the correct phone setting is called for this model that would help.

This may be it, but remember I don't have a phone in front of me to try it.

On Nokia 6820 -> Menu -> Settings -> Connectivity -> Bluetooth -> Bluetooth On

I still think there should be a "search mode" or something to turn on for the phone, but perhaps it's on the same menu

look on the phones bluetooth menu and post what over options there are.

You may see Paired Devices -> Options -> New Paired Devices ->

Thank you Grey

My phone is a Samsung G600

The bluetooth is switched on it just cant connect to the pc - I dont think I have bluetooth on the pc.

I have found USB settings on the phone with a choice of selecting one of the following

Ask on connection
samsung pc connection
Media Player
Mass storage
Printer

would this have anything to do with it??

Trix11 · 02/07/2008 13:08

Ive done it - I changed USB Settings to Mass Storage and its worked. Thanks all.
