Having bought a ipod and loaded stuff on it now appears to have lost the sound, any ideas?

Is the volume turned up? Mine seems to reset to full volume which is irritating. Also check the headphones are properly in.

It's not playing on the docking thing or through the earphones.

What does the display show?

You can always reset it, you know.

Since all your music is on iTunes, you will not lose anything.

have you checked hte voume (run finger round circle thingy). If not, try turning off and on again a couple of times. Or reboot by pressing centre key and top until screen switches off.

I'll try rebooting it, really annoying as it's not even a week old. Thanks for the help.

Try:
-Turning up volume
-Checking there is no volume limit set in settings>>volume limit
-Doing a "soft reset" - on most ipods it is holding down the centre button and the menu button at the same time for about 6 seconds. This does not lose any data or music.

Thanks I'll give it a go.
