Charging ipod

I've bought a 2nd ipod, have spent the morning loading music on it. It's been plugged into the pc for hours and it doesn't seem to ne charging. Any ideas?

Have had this problem. I think it only charges when the PC is active. So if you are away from pc and it goes to sleep ipod will not charge. You can get mains adaptor chargers though.

The pc was active but resorted to using the mains charger. Thanks anyway.
