Ipod/ITunes help pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease!

I had the ipod and itunes set up on the laptop which went for a while and then went

So laptop is no more.

I have installed iTunes on the pc.

Is there some way I can get what is on my shuffle back onto the computer? It offered me wiping and resyncing, but that sounds like a Very Unwise Move.

Can it be done, or am I starting from scratch?

This link should tell you how to do it. Its murder getting stuff off your ipod onto a pc, I had to do it a couple of years ago when my laptop with all my tunes was stolen. You basically have to download a software programme to rip the tunes from your ipod then reload them into itunes.

Don't wipe and resync...lol...you'll lose the lot!

Email itunes and tell them, if they are feeling in a good mood they will let you re download them, I had to do this when my computer went tits up. They let me re download them but they made it clear that they wouldn't do it again so make sure you back up.

I think it is transferring now There was a 14 day trial with one of the transferry programmes and it is really easy to use.

Most of the songs were from CDs, and it is down to laziness that I couldn't be arsed to go find em to put them back on the computer

Which transferry program did you use? I'm in the same position and have been too scared to try in case I wiped everything....[scared face]

Lol, yes, when it happened to me I had about 15 gb of music from my own cd's on my ipod, there was no way I was ripping all that lot again. Ilounge is a great site for all things ipod related incidentally, you can find answers to pretty much any ipod related questions there.
