i-pod shuffle question please?

I have just bought dd a shuffle - little thing with poss. 125 tunes.

Can I plug it into my pc where I already have my pod registered with a nice big library. Will plugging in her shuffle mess things up for both of us?? anyone know? ta.

dh bought me a shuffle for xmas. It's great - I have used it loads.
I don't have an i-pod as well but when I first got the shuffle I plugged it into FILs PC, and he has a nano. It didn't mess anything up.

I think we had to download stuff from the internet when dd got her shuffle after her ipod as it's 2 different playlists. But then again it's a pink one!!!

thanks shrek - have just read the Guide, but it is silent on registering and using a shuffle on same pc as one already registered there........

Just double checked with dd and we have both shuffle and ipod on my pc but ipod in my docs and shuffle in her docs. Apparently so that none of my boring music would go on the shuffle. But they are both pink

Am now beyond any pseudo tech knowledge that I was pretending to have!

I'm still not sure, and don't know what you mean by 'doc'..is this specific to pod/shuffles?? Are do you mean 'docking station' or 'documents'..sorry to try your knowledge...

have just read that guide as well...but no mention of using two pods on same pc...I was wondering if anyone does do this and did it cause any software conflicts...sorry to be insistent of sorts.
