iPhone battery won't charge beyond 80%

I bought a super fast charger from Amazon and it's amazing. But, it doesn't charge my iPhone beyond 80%! I don't understand. I never had this issue until I started using this charger!

Can anyone explain this and help?

Probably a faulty charger. Be careful with those non branded ones, they are known to be a fire hazard.

Or have you accidentally turned on a battery protection setting?

is it a timer on your phone? My phone won't fully charge until 4 am in the morning. This is how the timer is set. Don't ask me how or why.....

I believe it’s a setting to protect the battery. Charging to 10p% reduces battery life.

Settings -> Battery -> Battery Health -> Optimised Charging

Tuen this off and it should solve the problem OP but as PP says I believe it is so help preserve the lifespan of your battery.
