Geeky stuff

I’m being asked whether I want Google to link with You Tube, Chrome and ads etc

It’s new EU legislation apparently

I have to tick the box before I can proceed

Do I want my You Tube use to be linked with Google or not?

I have no clue!

Do I answer yes, no, or go through each individual option?

Google are saying it’s not about invading privacy (yeah right) but what is best option?

What are the downsides to it not being linked?

YouTube is owned by Google. If you log in to YouTube, you will use a Google account.

Logging in means you can subscribe to channels you like and, if you want, get notified when new videos are available. You can also create playlists and leave comments on videos.

YouTube tailors the videos it offers you on the home page based on what you have watched previously. If you log in, it will be able to continue to do this if you move to a new computer.

Thank you very much prh47bridge that sounds a lot less sinister than I had imagined! 😃
