I want to get a new laptop.

It needs to be wireless (I think they all are now).
It needs to have a CD drive (ditto?)
It will have itunes installed on it
DH will probably want to play various PC games on it, not with amazing graphics, but he would like it to work OK
I want to spend up to £400
What is the difference in RAM ie do I want 1GB, 2GB?
What sort of processor is best? Have seen ones with Intel, AMD processors
Amount of memory - is this the RAM? Probably is and would explain why 1GB has 1024MB etc . But why say it twice?
Hard Drive - how much - 160GB 200GB?

I want one where the power lead doesn't keep coming out of the machine and not fitting in properly [grr]. I have a work one from evesham that has this problem.

What make to go for (or not go for?) Would prefer not to go into PC World or similar, as may lose the will to live .

All advice gratefully received.

Probably Dell, £400 for a gaming machine isn't going to happen (if you like 3D shooters anyway), get 2Gb RAM - most new laptops come with Vista which sucks with 1Gb RAM, Intel Core 2 Duos still beat AMD and lastly, biggest hard drive available for the money.
