Looking for some advice. I admin a FB group and for a while have thought that one of the members is not who they say they are.

They post photos of themselves that are heavily photoshopped, they post photos of themselves in places and with people that are so badly doctored that it’s obviously not real. They are vague about details that others would be specific about, they have no other social media footprint, no LinkedIn, X or Insta, and their personal FB page only has friends who are part of the FB group that I admin.

They also appear to be using the same name and modelling the look of an American Insta influencer (the group member is definitely not the influencer).

This wouldn't normally be an issue but the member has become one of the group admins, so it's important that we know who they really are. Is there a way of finding out?

The short answer is no - there is no easy way of finding out the real identity of a Facebook subscriber. How were they allowed to become a group admin if there were doubts about them?

Take their admin privileges away from them until they tell you who they really are

There are some facial recognition websites you can use. One is called facecheck.id and the other is called pimeyes.

You need to chat to the group owner, although they might know their true identity.
