Long lasting smartphones

Can anyone reccommend a smartphone that only needs to be replaced every 5 years or so? I currently have a 5 year old LG phone that needs to be repalced and I am pretty happy with it but LG no longer make phones so I need to find another brand.

I don't use the phone for much. I don't stream or play any games with it. I basically read the news, use the baking app, google maps and take photos. I don't have a lot of apps or take loads of photos so I dont need much storage space. Camera also doesnt need to be excellent quality.

Most important is probably that the phone is pretty robust and the screen isnt going to shatter everytime it falls on the floor.

Fairphone has cauhht my attention but I have never seen one or know anyone who has experience with them so would be particularly interested in hearing opinions here.

Late reply... but I have the Samsung Galaxy s8 for more than five years, still working fine even though battery life has shortened a bit. I do use the phone a lot, videos, pictures, apps, browsing, online stuff. My last phone however the Galaxy s4 suddenly died in 5 years.

Samsung phones are brilliant, my mum has my old S10+ phone, it has to be at least 5 years old & everything works like new.

I concur for samsung. I have a Sansung s 21 ultra. It's coming up to three years but I'm going to keep it. Amazing as a mini kindle too.
Partners Samsung has lasted 7+ years and counting.
