I have a friend who swears by his Pulse headset (don't know which one he's got), but because he loves playing Call of Duty on-line with his mates, he sometimes doesn't hear his phone ringing or a text coming in.

Does anyone know if there is another Pulse headset that will allow him to hear incoming calls or text notifications while he is playing?

Many thanks.

Bump. Please help, my friend is missing phone calls from me, and must surely be missing phone calls from others.

Call of Duty is v important to him and his friends, as they are unable to work through ill health, and one of them used to be in the Army. I think Call of Duty makes the ex-Army friend feel that he's still a good soldier, even though he now has a disability. And not just him - playing it makes the others players feel powerful again and distracts them from their ever-present pain Smile

I think he’d have to use a two to one mic setup, e.g. two mics being sent to one input, one of the “mics” being a connection to the mobile phone such as lightning to 3.5mm adaptor; the other mic being an external mic attached to his headset.

Another option would be for the friends to all use Discord for their voice-game-chat and add you to the list of people that can join that call and then you could join the discord call (from your mobile) if your friend doesn’t pick up.

@TheBabylonian
You may have to explain some things. I am geeky, but not a gamer, and I don't use headsets Smile
lightning to 3.5mm?

I'll tell him about the Discord thing. But it would be impolite for me to ask to be included in a Discord group, and anyway, I'd rather not.

He does use phone, text, and WhatsApp. But doesn't see missed calls or notifications until he's off CoD again.

NB I am not a gamer now, but was a huge afficianado of Adventure Games back in the day. Colossal Caves, HHGTTG, Monkey Island, anyoneGrin?

Lightning is the connection on iPhones, new iPhones (this year) use USB-C.

Actually a better idea might be for him to get a smartWatch connected to his phone, e..g if he has an iPhone get an Apple Watch and it will vibrate on his wrist. I assume same for Android…?

Not sure what phone he's got. But probably an Android one.
