How to record TV programs without Sky+?

We are ditching Sky but I think I will miss the recording ability; what are our alternatives??

You can get Freeview / Freesat recorders , we’ve had HUMAX ones that have been fine.

I’ve never found them quite as user friendly as Sky+ but I’m not the quickest learner at new systems!

Another vote for Humax, they work well in my experience.
