Sharing hotspot

Does anyone know... if you share your hotspot on mobile phone is it a protected network. to which your personal data on phone can't be accessed. I hope that makes sense.

You can add a password so only people who know it can access the network.

Someone having access to a hotspot does not give them any access to your phone's data. Modern phones will automatically give the hotspot a password, so other people won't be able to access your hotspot unless you give them the password.
