Why does CAller ID not work for me?

I am on my second set of cordless phones which have Caller ID, and I am signed up to BT Privacy At Home which includes Caller ID...

Yet, it doesn't work...any ideas?

They haven't switched it on yet, or your phones are malfunctioning. Have they got power, etc. Can you try a neighbour's phone. I think it's not on yet though.

thanks - but I signed up about a year ago, then thought it was the cheap phones I had so upgraded but no banana

Don't underestimate the incompetance of BT.

They hadn't switched mine on until I rang and asked why it didn't work.
