Comfortable over-ear headphone (for small head)

I'm ND and often wear in-ear headphone while I'm in the house/walking the dog/at work/supermarket/public transport.

Listening to music/podcasts helps me focus and with my anxiety.

However because the headphones are invisible it's really annoying and awkward when I miss people trying to talk to me (I don't wear them all the time, and if I'm at the checkout etc I take them off, and I don't wear them all day at work - just when I need to concentrate).

I need some spares anyway, and I though over ear would be good - then people could see I'm wearing headphones.

I want decent ones, but I'd prefer to buy online or just go to one shop to try lots of different brands, because I also have a stupidly small head so I don't want to buy expensive headphones which rattle around when I'm wearing them.

Anyone got any recommendations? Much appreciated- I find so many reviews online misleading or fake etc.

Do you need Bluetooth headphones and/or noise cancelling features? How long do you typically use headphones as this is an important consideration as well.

Larger headphones are usually either on ear or over ear. Comfort varies because of this. If you wear them in public then you will need closed-back rather than open-back headphones to reduce the amount of sound leakage which will annoy anyone in relatively close vicinity.

You can buy in ear headphones with transparency settings which allows you to hear people when you are out and about. Have you considered this?

Is quality very important to you or do you mainly listen to podcasts?

Ultimately, it sounds like comfort is going to be a key feature for you and unfortunately this is difficult to determine online. Trying before buying is recommended if at all possible. If you intend to proceed with an online purchase make sure you buy from a retailer with a good returns policy - Amazon is excellent in this respect.
