Its this simple:

I made a vid/slide show type thing of the kids and I want it to play on the DVD player.

Ive tried + discs which it will copy to but wont play. - discs which it wont even copy to. Slower writing speed, change settings etc etc. Ive used nero, media player, nothing works.

I just know its going to be something really simple so im fully prepared to be laughed at....I just want the vid! aaarrrrggghhhh.

I get that. Some dvds I've burned refuse to play anywhere. So fustrating. Some will only play on a particular computer, not necassarilythe one I burned them with.

My friend told me only - would work on DVD player so I bought said discs (PC says +/- on front). - discs keep bringing up errors, cannot copy etc....

Is it because I made it in Windows movie maker then? Is it some crap thing that will only play on the PC?

That looks great littlelapin. I just tried to open it with windows movie maker and its telling me its not a valid windows moviemaker file. It is!! or it was. I made it and backed it up onto a disc when I was having some problems with the pc, ive just moved it back on to the pc and now it wont open with the program that created it!

Ok so I imported it. It will play in windows movie maker. Now will not save to + or - . Ive gone through those instructions, the last time it said "you need - dvd r/rw so that I did, no go there either.

If its just a photo slide show, don't use a DVD use a CDR.. If its video as well DVD and you might need to copy files and move them to the DVD burner through my computer?
