Mine has a little blue picture of a finger on a square - it's blue because the function button is blue

hi fin, on mine you select control panel, printers and other hardware, mouse, device settings and disable the touchpad.

Also got a Fujitsu Siemens here - generally when i plug a mouse in the touch pad thing still works but so does the mouse - if i press fn button and f10 it swtxhes off the touch pad though.

Hi and thanks, I have tried pressing Fn and F10 button together but I can't get it to work for me, can you do this when you have a web site open or does it have to be at a specific time like at start up.I have a mouse plugged in and prefer to use this.

Do you have to turn the touchpad off? I use a mouse, but just leave the touchpad on (though I actually have a little switch to turn it off on my Compaq)

I would like to turn the touch pad off because it moves the mouse when typing if I touch it, causing typo mistakes.Im sure you can turn it off but I have read the manual and searched the laptop for a button to turn it off but still can't find it.

Found this post:

"Barry 31 May 2007 06:00 am I'd recommend downloading the latest Fujitsu drivers because I found they have extra features like being able to turn off the touchpad, which wasn't an option for me when I first bought the computer. (I prefer using a mouse because I keep on brushing the touchpad when I type)."

on this site - if this is your model, it looks like you need to download the new drivers.
