No idea.
However, you could try the following.

Create a new folder
Copy the photo / photos you want to send into that folder.
Then create an e-mail, click Attach, and navigate to the folder you previously created.
Select the photo / photos

Make sure you are attaching Photos, not any other kind of document. Photos often end with .JPG

Sounds like you are attaching a whole file or folder of photos not just the one you want. Might be tempory files you have attached which include stuff you have looked at.

When searching for the picture to attach when creating an e.mail ensure you are going into my pictures or where ever it is saved on your PC. the pic may show up in another location too, so do check this.

If photo's is short for photographs, then surely the apostrophe is acceptable?

Ah, but just because you wouldn't do it, it doesn't mean it's wrong. (Has no-one ever pointed this out to you before?)

Scramble · 06/01/2008 12:52

bran that is a point hehe

it is wonrg to use an apostrophe. The rule is that words ending in o which are shortened words, just add s.

Eg photos, hippos

You are right to be pissed off, maxi. This has turned into more of a pedant's wanky thread.

maximummummy · 06/01/2008 13:14

Yes, sorry for taking over your thread maxi. I don't know why I even clicked on this thread to start with as I'm fairly technologically inept so I can't even help with your problem.

Do you have up to date security software? Just in case there is some naughty software messing with your computer.

NOOOO! Stop, everyone!

This also happens to me.

It happens when someone sends me attachments as well. If I click on the arrows (forward/back) at the bottom of the photos, it takes me thhrough a whole range of miscellaneous pictures and snapshots from pages they have looked at on the web by the look of it.

I have been wonderign for yonks why and how it happens.

I am not sending or receiving whole folders btw.

Scramble · 06/01/2008 13:57

, strange! scary too must stop googling hunky men before sending assignments and photos to family .
Is it sending your internet history?
Does it help to delete history before sending?
Are you attaching pictures that you have saved to my documents or my pictures?

It is pictures I've saved to 'My documents' or more usually, actual individual photos I've uploaded to My pictures from the camera.

The stuff that 'accompanies' them, is really odd - things I may have seen on a page but not clicked on or anything.

Try it - find some attachments someone has sent you and keep pressing forward till you get to the strange stuff.

I have a good friend who is into the same kind of collectables as me and I often have a look and see which ebay pics she's been looking at!!!

Scramble · 06/01/2008 14:07

Feck I nearly sprayed my soup over the PC there. I must do some test e.mails as I often send pics to grandad. I don't often browse for anal dildos though .

Please can we get some techy persons advice on this, I will be paranoid now as I have to send Uni attachments too .

Flllightattendant · 06/01/2008 14:14

Scramble I don't think it is always relevant to you, even if anyone did think to click on it - for instance it could be a little box saying 'buy it now' from an ebay listing, or a photograph that was unrelated to the ting you were looking at, but was displayed as a link on the same page etc etc.

Scramble · 06/01/2008 14:16

But It could be other things too, they might just asume it was me.

Flllightattendant · 06/01/2008 14:17

Yes well I believe you, Scramble
