Lost phone/hotspot

I’m just trying to work out what the chances are of my DS’s phone still being in school…

He left it lying on an indoor bench about 10 days ago, and it disappeared. He’s not seen it since. However, today when he was working on his laptop, his phone came up as an option on ‘hotspots’ with 4 bars of signal. When we o all his number, it goes straight to voicemail.

You can have the phone on aeroplane mode but with the internet on at the same time, so it just blocks calls and texts coming through. Sounds like someone has done this. Is there a find my phone type feature? If it's connected to mobile data or WiFi then you may be able to track it.

My Android has a feature where I can log in to my Google account and try and find it. It would cause the phone to ring if it had any internet or 4g/5g on. It'll ring really loudly and won't stop until a button on the phone is pressed or screen unlocked.
