What do I do?

I made a movie of DS - maybe 3 mins and want to send it to someone but my email won't attach it. I tried photobucket but it won't upload and I am at a loss. Don't want to put it somewhere aspublic as youtube... what shall I do?

TIA

You can post it on Youtube but set it as private so only those you invite can watch it.

lol

At this rate, I may have to resort to that. And now DS is up, so will have to look into it later

It's too big for youtube apparently. It's 510 mb... is that huge? Will have to burn to CD/ DVD I think

Not sure if this lets you upload files that size, but worth a go

OverRated · 03/01/2008 01:41

Thanks Hunker - am off to investigate!

3 minute video at 510MB... wow.. I am guessing this has come straight off a camcorder....

You need to use some software to re-encode this so that it comes down to a smaller size and format (compression).. 3 minutes should be able to come down to around 20-50mb in m4w, DivX or other format...

Once compressed and re-encoded you can then post it on YouTube or even email it with some acounts...

Oh goodness, this is complicated.

It is from my camera, opinionateddad and is more like 5 mins.

Someone suggested Google Video, So I'll look at that, then go off to find a CD to burn it to when that fails!

soo.. is this camera or camcorder?... also what is the total file size and time?

With the above information I may be able to recommend some tools to re-encode into a usable format

Altho DVD/CD is still probably going to be your only option in reality if you want to keep some reasonable quality

OverRated · 05/01/2008 18:22

Thanks opinionatedDad - its from my digital camera - 510 mb and 4mins 49 seconds

Google video looked promising but keeps crashing. It's not even a good video so, I'm going to burn to to CD.

Thanks for your help.
