Can anyone think of a reason why I can't sign into my hotmail account?

have checked, re-checked and checked again that the email address and the password are correct, yet it tells me they're not.

Have tried to reset the password and the security question appears to be in Chinese.

Have requested that they send me details of the password to my alternate email address but I can't remember what it is!!!!!

My other email is okay (but not showing an email from hotmail with details of password)

Dp swears that he has not changed my password (and he wouldn't, tbh)

When you say you've tried resetting the password and the question is in chinese Did you try entering your answer anyway? Can you remember what it was?
Have no other idea I'm afraid other than someone changing your password which has happened to me before.

I put the chinese phrase into babelfish and it translated it as a question that I may well have set, so I typed in the answer to that question. I just typed it in though and it wouldn't accept it, and now it's locked me out of there as well. I think maybe I should have put the answer in in Chinese? I dunno.

make sure you haven't got caps lock on !

checked the date on your PC, if its been changed then hotmail will not sign you in

still not having any joy - lottiejenkins - were those links both for leo.com? Not sure how they will help me

am totally stuck. Have tried the laptop as well, in case it was something wrong with the pc but that doesn't want to work either.

are you going in via a link in your favourites?

if so, delete the link
re-enter www.hotmail.com (or co.uk) in the bar, then try again entering all the details from scratch.

Do you have a paypal a/c with your hotmail address? If you do, you might want to check that your a/c hasn't been hacked. A work colleague was locked out of her a/c last year. I heard something about how someone had hacked her paypal a/c in the same name but I'm not sure what the upshot of it all was.

paypal account ok. It has a different password, so I think it will be okay, even if someone has hacked into my hotmail.

Is it likely that someone has hacked my hotmail account? If so, I suspect they will be disappointed as it is mostly chat from my mum, funnies from my auntie and the mumsnet talk roundup

Have emailed hotmail/msn and am waiting for them to get back to me.

In the meantime, there doesn't seem to be anything that I can do.

Except get cross of course, am getting very cross with the blardy thing (grr)
