Can't find Minecraft on laptop after reset

Can anyone advise on how to recover missing apps after a Windows 10 laptop reset?

I purchased Minecraft for my son's laptop but can't see it in the past purchases list in his apps so I only have the option to purchase again (£24.99). I have the order number from my Microsoft account.

I rarely go into the Microsoft account and I'm not finding answers there.

He has saved his worlds so that's ok

Is it java or bedrock edition? It might be worth finding out, as they are quite different so recovering it would be different. Sorry I can't be more help! I have java edition so just download it from the site if needed, so I assume yours is bedrock as it sounds different.

Yes, it's bedrock. He won't let me go on his laptop to help, lots of tears (ASD)

I think it was previously installed on my profile, and now he wants to install it on his. Is it possible to install my purchase on his profile?
