Why won't some of my texts go to one particular person?

So annoying.

DD has a tutor who quite often cancels at the last minute, but when I text back to acknowledge the cancellation, the text just isn't delivered, even with repeated attempts.

Sometimes text do go through to her though!

I'm now paranoid she's
somehow temporarily blocking my texts or something- this never happens when I text other people, unless I'm sending a photo

You can contact your phone company and tell them the number his happens with. It could be a fault. Happened with someone I knew. Or it could be they turn their phone off a lot or have poor signal. Network repeatedly tries to send a text over a few days, if it's still not delivered in that time it gets dropped. But it doesn't sound like you think they're sent but they don't arrive, it sounds like a fault in your phone/network.

Is one of you on iMessage and the other have them turned off?

I'm not using iMessage as she doesn't have an iPhone.

I'll try to contact my phone company - I think the text would show as delivered even if her phone was off?
