do you think this will work or make things worse

i would be to scared, and i don't trust my own mother let alone some bloke on a website saying that if you now download soemthing he wants u to download it will get rid.

Every time this has happened to me i have taken my pc to the repair people, cos i just don't want to make it worse. Costly but pc's scare me

2shoes go to the symantec website and look up the name of the trojan,then on the same site look at the virus removals that they have,this will help you if they have it.i have used them many times and they are very reliable.

or if you like you can put the name on here and i will look for you

I personally wouldn't trust that site. Get a reputable virus checker, and try www.lavasoft.com/ for adware removal
and
spybot
www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html

I used to use both under windows.

If you google the virus name, there is lots of help on remiving it (including everything that Doodledootoo wrote).

i must have started 2 threads so sorry.
I think it has gone. i deleted a couple of things and all quiet.
I have emailed mcaffe and am awaiting their reply
