Can anyone help? My MIL passed her old iPhone 6 onto DD. I put in a new SIM and then tried to reset the phone. I wanted to wipe the photos, messages and contacts so chose reset all settings. I first tried to erase of settings but was asked for Apple ID password and MIL hasn’t a clue what it could be. Anyway, since pressing on reset the previously working perfectly well phone will only show the apple logo screen. I have googled but can’t get past the logo screen with what is suggested (holding down the buttons). What did I do wrong in the first place and is the phone now useless?
