iPhone shortcuts/quick actions advice please 📱

Basically....

Can anyone tell me if it’s possible to set up a quick action or shortcut on iPhone so that it automatically sets up a reminder and asks me what I would like to be reminded of when I set an alarm using Siri.

I think it’s not possible but thought someone more knowledgable might know better.

I've just said "Siri set a timer in x minutes to to do x" at the time a reminder popped up.

I was wanting to set a reminder from within the reminder app. It guess it might not be possible though.

Not quite what you are asking but you can say "hey Siri set a reminder for 18.30 today"
Siri will ask what you want reminding of and then set a timed reminder

@ThreeLadsPointingAtAStar. Thanks for reply. I get how to use the reminders and the alarm but I want to know if I can use the quick action or a short cut function to combine them. I specifically want to use SIRI to set an alarm and for that to trigger Siri to set a reminder at the same time and to ask me what I would like the reminder to be. I want to use both the alarm app AND the reminder app.

It be useful for me because Alarms are device specific but reminders show on all my devices.

Maybe if you have a look on ifttt.com/ios_reminders there might be a solution

@ThreeLadsPointingAtAStar Thank you for the suggestion but that doesn’t have what I was looking for. I’ve used IFTTT in the past for various things but not used it for a while.

@widowerbutok. Thank you for the link. That’s a useful summary of how to use reminders (although it omits any info on location based reminders - it’s my favorite😁). Unfortunately it doesn’t answer my question. 😅

This Apple app will do what you want but you have to build the logic yourself, might be worth a play

@throwaway5001. Thanks for the reply. That’s the app I’ve been trying to use but I can’t see how it will do what I want it to do. I have set it up for other things but I can’t get it to do what I want it to do. Ie when I set an alarm it sets a reminder for the same time and triggers SIRI to ask me what I would like to be reminded about.
