have just bought a new redgroove mp3 player.
charged it up and put the disc in to install the driver - it wont install. am assuming its because my laptop has vista and the disc says windows 98?
now i cant find anywhere to download the driver, so i cant use the mp3 player.
am baffled

Does it need a driver at all? Assuming it connects via USB, if you plug it in, does Vista do anything? Is there function on the player to make it act as a diskdrive?

Does the device, or manual give any indication of who manufactured it. Redgroove seems to be a name used by Great Universal, so not getting much joy finding drivers based on that.

I wouldn't suggest using Win98 drivers.

Just found something that may help... when you plug it in via USB there are two modes in which it can operate... try changing the mode, to see if Vista then recognises it as a disk drive.
