Epsom printer doesn't like eBay cartridges

Just that really. I've been buying them from eBay all year and have saved me quite a penny during lockdown - printing DD's school stuff off etc.

Same batch today and suddenly, the printer isn't happy. No amount of 'continue' pressing makes a difference.
I've taken them out, checked them, cleaned the points etc and still
Nothing.

Any advice?

If you Google it they're all up to it. You've probably clicked on an 'update' which has sent info to your printer to block the use of generic ink cartridges.

HP settled an undisclosed sum out of court when a man sued them for doing this to him. You'd think they'd realise that more people would be inclined to buy branded ink if they made the prices less than bloody gold, but instead they resort to dirty tricks.
