Anyone got virgin.net and having problems today?

We have had virgin for the past 4 years, no problems at all. Today though it won't let us access email, it comes up saying "outlook is unable to connect your incoming email server
It takes 10 minutes for our homepage - bbc news to load, but everything else i.e mumsnet, amazon etc are all loading as normal. They ahve lowered our connectiopn speed since we moved, but this is ridiuclously slow. It also won't let us open other tabs, we have to close down the page we are looking at, and wouldn't let DH open the real player, kept coming up saying you are not connected to the internet. it seems to be disconnecting a lot as well today

Yes. We have something similar happening here. Usually it's fine but today the connection seems to be dropping out at random intervals. When it works it also seems to be slower than usual. We have Virgin broadband.

yes it's virgin broadband we have, and it's just not good at all. i tried to get onto the virgin website and it's still loading after 6 minutes - surely the whole point of broadband is that it's faster. maybe it's just a glitch their end.
Still that wouldn't explain why our BBC homepages aren't loading.Have just tried ebay and asda, still waiting for them to load as well

Fine here.

Might be worth ringing the tech number, as sometimes there is a recorded message informing people of work in their area.

If all else fails, you can always call our broadband technical support team on 0906 212 1111. Calls cost 25p per minute, with a 10p connection fee from Virgin Media landlines. Calls from mobiles or other networks may vary.

You can also check our live service news page or call our free service status line on 0800 561 0061 to make sure there isn't a specific problem on the network in your area.
